I would like to let you and the fellas know how comforting your podcast has been to me. I am a bereaved father who has found that it is very hard to find other men to talk to about baby loss. It is a small collection of men that are willing to open up about this. The ones I have found in my personal life are well intentioned but limited. I feel like I am part of the conversations you are having. I'll take my dog on a walk in the dark winter evening and am buoyed by the difficult conversations you are having. Along with the laughter that seeps its way in somehow.

My wife and I lost our son ********* on April 29th of this year. My wife went into preterm labor at exactly 6 months into her pregnancy. Our son was born via an emergency C-section about 12 hours after we got to the hospital. He was intubated and taken to the NICU immediately. He survived for 9 hours before we had to instruct the doctors and nurses to discontinue life support after it had become clear he was not going to survive. An extremely painful and impossible decision.

On top of the tremendous pain of losing a child this way, there is the isolation of not having people to talk to. To relate to. That may know some of your pain.

I hope this message finds you all well.
